Leadership Programmes

India is unique as it is the youngest country in the world. This young population can prove to be a huge demographic dividend if they are mentored and educated in a way that they can constructively utilize their inherent talents and also benefit from the “institution called India”. The potential of urban and rural youth needs to be channelized to create a new batch of leaders who will serve the public, private or the social sector. With this vision Yuvak Biradari (Bharat) organises youth leadership development programmes in different parts of rural and urban India catering to youth across various socio-economic backgrounds.

  • Our country and the world needs a future breed of ‘tomorrow’s leaders’ who need to be nurtured by ‘today’s leaders’. Hence the National Leadership Programme was held for young teachers, entrepreneurs, professionals, social activists, University students, farmers, politicians and grassroots youth. Topics covered in the Leadership programme were: Discovering Leadership Meanings from the Indian Melange; Nurturing Democratic values and progressive outlook; Leadership Skills; Developing Political Leadership in India; Today’s Economic environment and steering the Indian economic growth engine; Developing social sector leadership; Social entrepreneurship; Achieving leadership through sustainable development (focus on environment); Changing face of Technology, leveraging Technology at the grassroots & Attitude towards Technology; Ethical leadership and The Art of Innovation

  • The global warming threat to mankind needs urgent attention and action. Biradari encouraged youth to pledge to a cause of ‘Vasundhara Bachao’. A thought-provoking ballet ‘Sadi ki Pukaar’ based on global warming was also staged at the event.

  • Biradari celebrated its completion of training 21 lakh students in India over the last three decades through its value education programme Ek Sur Ek Taal. A choir of 2100 students of Agra marked this moment through a presentation.

  • The programme was scheduled in a way to commemorate the 60th year of the Republic of India and Punyatirtha – Ek Kaal Katha based on Nehru’s ‘Discovery of India’ was presented.

  • And finally, Agra is a mecca of art, culture, poetry, history, architecture and beauty. It is a symbol of India’s plurality, harmony and integration. All these facets of this place needed to be introduced to young Indians so that they can gain deep meanings of life, culture and leadership.

  • There were 200 participants at the Leadership Programme and another 100 for the rest of the event. They came from the states of Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Haryana and Delhi.

  • The programme was inaugurated by Dr Narendra Jadhav (Member – Planning Commission, Government of India). The finale took place in the presence of Biradari’s President Jaya Bachchan.
