Cultural Exchange Program

Cultural exchange programs play a vital role in bringing people from different parts of the country closer to each other, thereby promoting ‘unity in diversity’.

As individuals, we bear the cultural imprint (sanskaar) of our family. Similarly, every society, community and territory, too, imprints cultural colors on its people. Beneath this colorful diversity lie unifying elements of our country. But to bring it to the fore, we need to have a closer understanding of each other.

Along with representing Maharashtra (through Sangeet Natak Akademi schemes) at Inter State Cultural Exchange Progams at Haryana, Orissa and Assam (’83), Uttar Pradesh (’85), Goa (’86), New Delhi (’89), Sikkim (’89), Andhra Pradesh (’92), and Kerala (’93), Yuvak Biradari organizes and promotes cultural exchange programs on its own, wherein youth of different states of India get together, showcase their cultural heritage and actively engage with each other through various programs. Such programs enrich their experience and broaden their outlook, and motivate them to share it with others when they return home. More than 40 such cultural exchange programs at national and state levels in various parts of India have been undertaken with the help of Sangeet Natak Akademi (India), cultural department of various state governments, and voluntary agencies.
