Art Workshops

Recognizing the importance of art and culture in shaping the life and personality of a person, since 1975, Yuvak Biradari has held more than 100 art workshops to train the youth in the fields of theatre, dance, drama, music, creative writing, poetry, painting, sculpture and handicraft.

Most of these workshops were inspired and conducted by eminent artistes and Biradars, namely, Rekha Sabnis, Sulbha Deshpande, Jayadev Hattangadi, Shivdas Godke, Amol Palekar, Pratibha Matkari, Sanjna Kapur and Shailendra Gaud (for theatre & drama), poets Mrinalini Desai, Keshav Mesram and Mangesh Padgaonkar (for literature), Acharya Parvati Kumar, Ramesh Purav, Rekha Shah, Sandhya Purecha, Gauri Tripathi, Jhelum Paranjpe, Kajal Sharma and many others (for dance), and Salil Chaudhary, Pt. Murli Manohar Shukla, Dr. Sushila Pohankar, Vijay Raghavrao, Dr. Prabha Atre, Sarla Bhide, Narendra Kothambikar and others (for music).

Over the years, more than 4000 youth have participated and benefited at such workshops, some of whom are now well established professionals having walked their first steps on Biradari platforms.
